Term coined by the founder and creator of WWW.PROMOFILIA.COM in the early 2000's in México and USA, spreading in certain circles in France.

Not to confuse with shopping addiction or shopaholic which refers and limits to a buying disorder.

 

Promofilia has a broader meaning and use. Means an affection for promoting, for example but not limited, promoting art, music, culture, knowledge, talent, principles, values, just to mention a few.
